Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with Pet Eats! We want to get your pet essentials to you as quickly and transparently as possible. Below are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.
1. Order Processing Time (Handling Time)
  • All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
  • You will receive another notification when your order has been handed over to our courier partner and shipped.
2. Delivery Times (Transit Time)
Once handed over to the courier, delivery timelines depend on your location within South Africa:
  • Standard Delivery: It takes approximately 3 to 5 business days for the courier to deliver your package to your doorstep.
  • Total Estimated Time: You can generally expect your package to arrive within 4 to 7 business days from the date your order was successfully placed. 
Please note: Delivery delays can occasionally occur due to courier peak seasons, extreme weather, or high-volume sales periods. 
3. Shipping Rates
  • Shipping charges for every order is R120 flat fee.
  • As stated in our Return Policy, original delivery fees are non-refundable.
4. Delivery Address & P.O. Boxes
  • Please ensure you provide a valid physical address for delivery, as our courier partners cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
  • High-security estates or business addresses must include specific instructions or gate access details if applicable. 
5. Shipment Tracking
  • Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email containing a tracking number and a link to trace your parcel online.
  • Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to become active on the courier's system. 
6. Damages & Lost Packages
Pet Eats is not directly liable for products damaged or lost during transit by the courier. If you received your order damaged, please contact our support team at info@peteats.co.za immediately with your order number and photographic evidence so we can file a claim with the courier and assist you in resolving the issue.
