We respect your privacy and process your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you order, we collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address. Payments are handled by PayFast — we don't receive or store your card details.

How we use it

• To process, deliver and support your order (including sharing your name, phone number and address with our courier).
• To send you order confirmations and delivery updates.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

We don't sell your information. We only send marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as required by South African tax law (currently five years), then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing info@peteats.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

Cookies

We use essential browser storage to remember your cart and the details you type at checkout. We also use Google Analytics, the Google Ads tag and the TikTok Pixel to understand how visitors use our site and to measure how our Google and TikTok ads perform: they record which pages you visit and what you add to your cart or buy. When you place an order, a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and phone number is shared with Google and TikTok so they can match the purchase to an ad — they never receive the plain details from us this way. You can limit ad personalisation in your Google and TikTok account settings (for Google, at adssettings.google.com) or block tracking in your browser.
